The Kentucky Association of County Agriculture Agents is pleased to offer recognition to KACAA members for their outstanding contributions in the areas of:

The Achievement Award recognizes agents with 3-9 years of service for their outstanding program efforts, community development, and council development.
State Winners are recognized at the National AM/PIC. The number each state can award is based upon the total membership for the state organization. Kentucky has traditionally been able to recognize three outstanding agents for their excellence.
Deadline to Enter: December 1
The Distinguished Service Award is one of the highest honors and areas of recognition for county extension agents. The DSA recognizes agents who have exemplified excellence in their scope of work and dedication the Cooperative Extension Service.
State Winners are recognized at the NACAA AM/PIC Banquet. The number each state can award is based upon the total membership for the state organization. Kentucky has traditionally been able to recognize two outstanding agents for their excellence.

To recognize an KACAA member who has developed and carried out an outstanding extension educational program in environmental quality, forestry and natural resources.
To recognize KACAA members who have developed and carried out outstanding Extension educational programs for Young (<35 years of age), Beginning (< 10 years management experience), Small Farmer/Ranchers (<$250,000 annual agricultural sales).
To recognize KACAA members who have developed and carried out outstanding educational programs in sustainable agriculture. Sustainable agriculture is defined as an integrated system of plant and animal production practices having a site-specific application that will, over the long term: satisfy human food and fiber needs, enhance environmental quality and the natural resources base upon which the agricultural economy depends, make the most efficient use of non-renewable resources and on-farm resources and integrate, where appropriate, natural biological cycles and controls, sustain the economic viability of farm operations, enhance the quality of life for farmers and society as a whole.
Agents work tirelessly to bring non-biased, research based information to the masses. Be recognized for your daily efforts.

Deadline to Enter: March 15
There are two poster categories: applied research and extension education.
For each category, a first, second, and third place is awarded. Winners will receive $100, $50, and $25 according to their ranking. The first place winners in each category will go on to be judged at the national meeting.
Deadline: Abstracts to State Chair by March 15.

Note that the posters do not need to be completed by this date ONLY the abstracts. Posters will be displayed and judged during the KACAA State meeting
